It's official! I've signed with my dream literary agent, Victoria Skurnick, from Levine Greenberg and Rostan Literary Agency in New York! I'm absolutely thrilled to be working with her, and she's going to represent my new psychological thriller and pitch it to publishing houses. I'm excited to see what happens next! Thank you everyone for your support and encouragement in my writing journey. :)
I'm excited to be in VOX Magazine with my talented author friends, Jill Orr and Alex George! So proud to be part of Columbia's vibrant writing community!
I've been working in the office writing cave on a new psychological thriller. This one's gonna be extra dark with a side of twisty. :) #getyourcreepyon
Hey Columbia friends, this Saturday I'll be joining a panel of my talented author friends, Liz Schulte, TK Carter, Yolanda Ciolli, and Svetlana Grobman, to discuss publishing options. If you're interested in writing/publishing/marketing your book, or you just want to make some new friends, come visit us at the Columbia Public Library from 10:00 a.m.-noon. Hope to see you there!
My top 100 goals for 2017-
Goal #1: Write more than last year.
Goals #2-100: Refer to Goal #1.
Bonus Goal: Eat chocolate while achieving goals #1-100.
Writer's Serenity Prayer: God grant me serenity to accept my edits, courage to kill my darlings, and wisdom to ax my adverbs. #amwriting
The Show Me Writers Masterclass was amazing! It was incredible to meet so many passionate authors and feel that buzz of creative energy. I also met my new author BFF, Mary Buckham, Urban Fantasy author and writing instructor extraordinaire :) She's one of the most generous, gracious, and downright hilarious souls you will ever meet! Now what to do with all this inspiration...hmm...onto the next story we go!
With the Unbound Book Festival coming up this Saturday, here's a fantastic article by the Columbia Tribune that demonstrates the scope and enthusiasm surrounding this festival (and by "festival", we mean that beautiful place where frenzied book lovers can gather together and obsess about books--yes, you know who you are): http://www.columbiatribune.com/arts_life/ovation/first-edition/article_12b90cb6-dfb4-5b9e-96f9-424e342eda8e.html
I had the opportunity to do a guest blog on the Unbound Book Festival's website. Can you tell I'm a little excited about the festival coming up? http://www.unboundbookfestival.com/news/2016/4/7/eric-praschan-is-joyously-unbound
